COORPAROO QUILT SHOW

Last weekend I enjoyed a visit to the Coorparoo Quilt Show in Brisbane, Australia.  Lots of inspirational work on display by this very talented group of ladies. The pieced top covering the vehicle parked outside the venue was a great way of advertising the event.

The appliqued quilts were gorgeous.

And I thought some of you might be interested in the unusual tumbler block quilt with the tumblers just a tad larger than those many of you are making.  Although difficult to see because of the glare in that part of the building, the pictures on some of the tumblers are lions and tigers, fitting in well with the quilt's African theme.

There was even some poisonous green for Marion!!!
.

And a stunning crazy patchwork quilt.

It was a lovely afternoon of browsing and admiring.  But then it was time to head back home to finish some more of those chilly snowball blocks.

Almost done!!!   Only eight more to go!!!
